    We don't have an actual OLPC test machine. Instead, we dug up an old Dell Latitude CP M233XT. It runs with 128 MB RAM and we figured it was definitely going to be slower than the OLPC so as long as WeSay runs fast enough on it, WeSay would run fast enough on the OLPC when that is available.

    When Daniel Olivera announced the first Argentinian OLPC motherboard available for anyone to ssh into, I took advantage of it and ran nbench.

    With the exception of the Fourier and Neural Net benchmarks, the Dell Latitude CP M233XT is slower than the OLPC. On the idea benchmark, our Dell is only 40% as fast as the OLPC. The benchmarks indicate that on average our Dell laptop runs at 75% the speed of the OLPC.
